At the start of November, our ESRs Anaëlle and Marijn attended a three-day course on Nonlinear Timeseries Analyses at the Polytech University in Leiria (Portugal). The course was given by professor Stergiou, a pioneer in the field of human movement variability. During the course, they learned about novel techniques to analyse variability in human movement behaviour, such as sample entropy, the largest Lyapunov exponent and fractal analyses. Equipped with this new knowledge and inspired by the enthousiasm of course organisers, they are ready to continue their projects with fresh ideas!
